New Nokia N96 info leaked

Details of Nokia N96 mobile phone, successor to the popular N95 series, were accidentally leaked on the company’s German site. The details appeared on the site only for a short time complete with specifications and images till the blunder by the webmaster was realised. Any info on the N96 has had been kept secret by Nokia as industry insiders reckon they are planning to unveil it at the Mobile World Congress that takes place in Barcelona from this week (11-14 February).

Here are some leaked key specifications for the Nokia N96;

  • EDGE
  • HSDPA (3G), Wi-Fi, GPS
  • 16 GB of internal storage
  • 2.8 inch display (6.1 cm) with a 320×240 pixel resolution
  • DVB-H support
  • 5 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lenses, video recording at 30 FPS VGA.
  • Symbian S60 3rd Edition with Feature Pack 2 operating system.

Other News: Camera-free Nokia E51 Introduced

E51The new version aimed at business people features the same powerful functionality as standard Nokia E51. It was developed to cater for professionals who work in organisations such as government agencies and labs where security reasons restrict the use of cameras on the premises. The new Nokia E51 is going to start shipping in the 1st quarter of 2008.
