AMD launches new Triple and Quad Core Chips

AMD have launched all new multi-core Phenom desktop processing chips. The new Phenom processors include the X4 9000 series quad-core and X3 8000 series triple-core (worlds first) processors.

According to AMD, the new X4 9000 Series quad-core is the fastest CPUs the company has ever made. With this news all power media users and gamers will be impressed with the performance as they were optimized for gaming and full use of multi-threaded apps. The most impressive CPU of them all is tunable Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition of which customisation geeks will love to own and which might hopefully be seen in an AlienWare machine.

After some slack AMD got in the last year or so I think its on again with Intel and I do hope they got some more rabbits in that hat of theirs.
